Summit Wealth Group Acquires Colorado Springs RIA More Than Your Money, Managing $154 Million

Founder Jane Young will continue to lead her fee-only practice, backed by Summit’s deep resources and a continuity plan designed to support clients for the long term.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, October 22, 2026 --Summit Wealth Group, a planning-first wealth management firm overseeing roughly $3.5 billion in assets across 12 offices in six states, has acquired More Than Your Money (MTYM), a fee-only registered investment advisor (RIA) based in Colorado Springs that manages approximately $154 million in assets.

MTYM founder and owner Jane Young will continue to run the business alongside her two associates; the firm’s clients will maintain their existing advisor relationships built on the planning-first foundation that drew them to the firm. Summit will add investment management, compliance, operations, and planning resources, along with a defined succession plan for Jane and her clients.

“I built More Than Your Money around planning, and I wanted a partner who shares the same philosophy,” said Young. “With Summit, my team now has the resources to keep growing and our clients have a plan for the long-term. I get to keep running the business on my terms, with my team beside me.”

Succession remains one of the biggest challenges for independent wealth management firms, with many RIA founders approaching retirement without a defined plan. Often, those who sell have only two options: a private-equity backed platform that requires giving up control, or an outside firm that hands off clients to advisors they’ve never met.

Summit structured this partnership to help Young solve for growth and succession in one move, while staying true to her firm’s identity and culture.

“Succession is one of the hardest decisions an independent advisor will ever make,” said Randy Morris, CEO of Summit Wealth Group. “Jane wanted to keep growing her practice and protect her clients at the same time. Our model lets her do both. Her clients keep the advisor they chose, now with the depth of our resources behind them.”

The acquisition also reflects a broader shift in RIA consolidation. Summit, a planning-first firm with minority institutional backing, is bringing a fee-only practice onto its platform while leaving the founder in charge.

Both firms are based in Colorado Springs, so the client relationships and the capital stay in the community.

“Jane and her team have served Colorado Springs families for years, and so have we,” said Seamus O’Brien, Head of Advisor Success at Summit. “Keeping those relationships local was important to everyone involved. Her clients will see the same faces, backed by more resources.”
