"So how can we make your retirement fulfilling? Well, first and foremost, you need to have your health. I see so many times when people think about their retirement and they think, okay, I'm busy now, but I'm going to focus on, on my health when I get into retirement.

Problem is, if you wait until you get into retirement to focus on your health, it's going to be a stretch to have a fulfilling retirement. When we're preparing for retirement, the first thing we want to look at is what are you passionate about? Maybe you don't even want to retire from work. Maybe you enjoy your job.

Maybe you just pull back part time and work a few hours and you want to stick with the job you currently have. I would say one of the most important things to do is think about you don't want to retire from something, you want to retire to something. Think about what you're going to do in retirement.

Maybe you want to teach a class or maybe you want to take a class. Maybe you want to volunteer and give back to the community. Maybe you want to go back and catch up with your kids and grandkids because you've missed some of that over the years. It's time to make up for lost time. Maybe you want to play golf, but you can golf every day if you want, but you might get a little bored.

So you need to have a plan when you're thinking about retirement. And think well in advance of getting into retirement. The last thing you want to do Is going to retirement and be bored."
