Rachel Gustafson, CFP®, CCPS®

Rachel Gustafson began her career in financial services in 2012 after more than a decade as an educator. Her teaching background continues to shape how she works with clients today, making complex financial topics approachable, practical, and easy to understand.

Rachel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Portland State University and a Master of Arts in Education from George Fox University. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®), and Certified College Planning Specialist™.

Rachel believes the best financial advice starts with listening. She takes time to understand what matters most to each client and develops personalized strategies that align their finances with their goals and values. She works with individuals and families on retirement planning, major life transitions, long-term wealth management, and college planning, including education savings and financial aid strategies.

In 2026, Rachel joined Summit Wealth Group, helping establish the firm’s first Portland-area office. She is excited to pair the personal relationships her clients value with Summit’s expanded investment resources, planning capabilities, and collaborative team.

Rachel lives in the Beaverton area with her husband, Steve, and their two children, Declan and Ava. Outside the office, her family enjoys hiking, camping, biking, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and embracing Portland’s famous liquid sunshine.
