Shayla joined Summit Wealth Group in January 2015 and is the Activities and Events Planner for Summit Wealth Group's corporate department. Shayla started her education in Accounting and changed directions to finish her degree in Child Development & Developmental Psychology from California State University at San Bernardino. She spent 14 years as a teacher, homeschooling her 3 daughters as well as teaching preschool and kindergarten, before transitioning into the roles of an executive assistant and an event manager/planner. Possessing a unique blend of left and right brain learning, displaying itself in a combination of creativity with a Type-A personality, equals absolute diversity! She makes sure our branch offices and clients are connected and involved while bringing enough fun to keep all smiling.
Born and raised in Southern California, Shayla ventured away from the beach and out to the desert in 2004. Shayla is blessed with a great family: three beautiful daughters, 8 grandchildren, and many furry grand-puppies. She is passionate about petting all dogs that cross her path, being in the sunshine, gardening, reading, time spent with family, and her chihuahua, Maybelline.
Shayla volunteers her time working with Mending the Soul ministries and MomCo groups at Sun Valley Community Church.
